The center will be a positive FORCE of support, a shoulder to lean on, and a listening ear. A place for everyone to regroup, rethink, reorganize, readjust, rebound and, refocus. The goal of the Gail Devers Foundation, a non-profit 501c(3) organization, is to acquire a facility large enough to house various programs. The name of the building will be "The Gail Force Enhancement Center". The premise behind the name is that anyone who enters through the doors will in someway have their lives enhanced. Through mentoring or volunteering, everyone will have a place. The center will be a safe-haven, a FORCE (Focus - On - Respect - Commitment - Excellence) that cares. Just as it says, "...it takes a village to raise a child...", the enhancement center will be a community based center where people of all ages can gain knowledge and develop together.

The Gail Devers Foundation believes charity begins at home and before we can contact large corporations to partner with us we must do our part. Realizing that the center will be in the community and the community should play a major role in the development of the center, we have started a capital challenge fundraiser in which each board member has been challenged to solicit donations from individuals. The Foundation believes "if we build it they will come". Our efforts are concentrated on supporting families and individuals in need and providing services for education, arts, health awareness, and community development.
